So, A lot of the time, when I create characters, I listen to music while making them, and what I'm listening to affects the character's development. Sometimes, I even end up making characters based on the songs themselves. The characters make themselves, really.
So I thought it would be cool to share stuff about characters that have particular songs that fit them, or songs or even just genres that fit characters, either way.

For example, (and as Arky knows,) Somewhat shamefully, due to the apparent emo potential of their songs, I will say that Axis was basically created with linkin Park. Namely, before my knowledge of Peeling Oranges, the song Crawling, among others. Which is why he doesn't talk much, and prefers to keep to himself a lot.

Anyone else want to share?

I don't have any musical inspiration for my characters I just whip em out off the top of my head, (especially that last one, I have no idea why I made him) But I suppose that Alan has a theme song:

Since I have a theme for, like, every single one of my characters...or two or three, you already know I love putting music to 'em.

You have fantastical music/character relation skills, you do.
I tend to think of songs fitting scenes rather than entire characters as well. Although I find that sometimes, songs I listen to actually build their own characters inside my head. (I am so totally not insane, whatchootalkin'bout? )
I totally know what you mean by making entire characters based on a song. XD

Claw was born off of classic rock and R&B. I can't remember the specifics because I created her... years ago. Two or three, as a matter of fact.

When I roleplay with her, I listen to music like these (it's sort of a mix).

Well, with the character I was designing, because he's kind of a wacko, I just listened to Dark Side of the Moon, Comfortably Numb, and other various Pink Floyd songs.

... If you don't know those songs, I would be very disappointed in your musical knowledge unless you were deaf just until yesterday.

OHAY. I figure, since this is a music thread, I might as well advertise for one of my favorite bands because they are amazing.
We Are The In Crowd is just made of awesome. My friend Gere showed them to me a while back when they only had a few songs out, and now their EP is out TOMORROW- which is TODAY for you aussies!

They're incredible. c: And I can see them going places fast. They're in the vans warped tour and I bet they'll be hitting the main stream soon enough.
