Theme; Fallen Heaven (Remix)– REDALiCE Maybe it was the mild brain rattling that was making him see things, but he could’ve sworn he’d just seen that Lao sonnofabitch’s armour fully repair itself. No way, that was stupid, there was no way in hell he could repair his suit so suddenly from that amount of damage, considering he’d been having so much difficulty before. Nostrils flared as Vince’s stance slackened, the warmth of the sun against his drying skin and wings enough to make him drowsy. Maybe if he just closed his eyes for a moment- woah, fuck no. He wasn’t going to sleep, not now. Vince growled, raising a twitching hand to promptly slap himself across the face, staggering around for a bit before finally regaining his footing. It was then that he slurred a string of words together as he drew his gun, ever aware of how much of a douche he sounded as he narrowed dark ringed eyes at the his much stronger opponent.
Now that he thought about it…he really had no chance in hell, now, did he? He growled, snarling a gap-toothed snarl as he crouched slightly, fanning his wings out as he took a pace back – the pathetic attempt to make himself look larger only making him look thin, dishevelled and about to drop. ”K midoum eyz oum eyzv doain sia tyna." I demand you and your mates get lost. Vince growled, nose wrinkling in a fashion not unlike a wolf as he tightened his grip on his weapon, finger lingering dangerously on the trigger. But it was then that he finally confirmed his fears – Axis had healed himself. He’d completely healed over the shoulder he’d damaged when he was in good health. What the hell was he meant to accomplish now?
With a tired sigh the angel fell to his knees, his wings lying in the dust as he hung his head. He’d come here to help the Zukai, not hinder their chances of success. But that’s what he’d done, totally fucked everything over. He frowned, feeling particularly sorry for himself now – he’d made friends with that dog kid, Lutec, and now he was going to think he was a total…
…loser.
………..Vince wasn’t a loser.
His head snapped up, eyes alight with fury as he once again drew up his pistol, taking aim. ”FUCK YOU." Vince hissed, scrunching his eyes shut as he pulled the trigger, listening to the scream of the bullet as it spiralled towards it’s target, throwing his arms out before him to steady himself, crouched in the dirt. He peeled open an eye, heart seeming to stop as he watched the bullet, silently praying that it hit its mark.
Cos if it didn’t, he was royally screwed. [/blockquote]

Axis watched the boy scrutinise him, noting that the boy was looking at his shoulder plate, which was in the final stage of repair. Axis could feel the heat on his skin subsiding as well, and he shifted it slightly, focusing on the angel again as he seemed to slouch, his wings drooping momentarily. He seemed extremely tired, and despite his suit's environmental system, Axis could feel the slight tension of fatique in his chest. Suddenly, the angel straightened back up quickly, bringing Axis back to reality. He growled, and Axis braced as the boy raised his hand... And slapped himself in the face. He staggered slightly on the wet ground, and mumbled inaudibly as he centred the pistol on Axis and stared hard at him. Axis held his gaze. The boy growled again, and Axis tried to relax his stance slightly, to appear less confronting. The angel did the opposite, crouching before fanning his damp wings outwards. Axis recognised the display, he'd seen something similar before. ”K midoum eyz oum eyzv doain sia tyna." He said. "Dammit..." Axis thought, unable to translate his words without his helmet. "As soon as I actually need the stupid thing..." The boy snarled, looking more animal like than before as he steadied his weapon. Axis heard a faint ping from the inside of his collar as his shoulder sealed completely. The angel's pupils dilated slightly. He was worrying. Axis couldn't help but feel slightly sorry for the sodden winged boy in front of him now. He relaxed his stance a little more, relasing one of his hands from the OmniBlade's hilt, but keeping it behind the sword. Then suddenly, the angel simply dropped, landing on his knees. His wet, white wings trailing on the dirty ground behind him, his head sagging between his shoulders. Axis stood still, lowering his sword to his waist. He hadn't intended to force his opponent to his knees. He sheathed his blade and began to step forward, his right hand ready to reach out to the angel. "FUCK YOU." In an instant, Axis saw the boy stretch out, a flash of white coming from his hand as a shot rang out. everything seemed to slow to a crawl. The pistol. Axis almost couldn't see the shot, the flash of it's release and the projectile impossible to distinguish. A strange blue aura seemed to blanket his vision, and he could just barely make out the lethal object. Flying straight for his head. Axis almost couldn't move. He began to pull his head to the right. A searing pain bit into the side of his face as the bullet passed within an inch of his unprotected skin, the heat of the projectile cutting a line on his cheek. Axis let out a half yell as he stepped backwards, almost brought onto one knee as he covered the wound with his gloved hand. He just barely managed to stay on his feet. He gasped, breathing heavily as he looked down into his gloved hand. His blue-tinted blood seemed to shimmer slightly despite the lack of light. It soaked the sealed material, and he could feel its warmth underneath on his hand. A small alarm was ringing in his suit, and before he could stop it, he felt a new helmet fold over his head, his visor folding down and displaying a new warning message. WARNING. PILOT INTEGRITY COMPROMISED. INITIATING PHASE 3 PROJECTION. "No, no, no, stop..." He felt himself arch back as the armour glowed, releasing more energy, which began to fix itself into extra fitted plates, forming over his chest, arms, and legs and constricting. he felt the familiar wieght of a belt spat form on his torso, and there was a familiar double clang as his faceplate joined and snapped down to cover his mouth, sealing to his visor, as more plates fused around it. A wieght formed on his shoulders, and the energies faded, though the new armour still held a slight glow. Axis opened his eyes. there was a tingling near his new wound, but he forced himself to rise, feeling the bulk and density of the twice upgraded armour the suit had forced upon him as protection. The heavy looking cape that now hung from his shoulders barely moved around his legs in the slight wind, and Axis raised his head to the angel, who was still on his knees, staring at him, his palms supporting his upper body. Axis sighed, almost embarrassed by his own armour at the near rediculous reaction. Realising that his enormous bulk now probably seemed far more hostile than he had looked before. He reached up, and tapped the side of his helmet twice, almost angrily, and it hissed, unsealed, and folded back away into the suit. He stood still, not moving towards or away from the angel, as blood began to slowly drip from the half-cleaned scar on his face again. He took a single step, slightly closer to the boy. He felt remorse for forcing the angel into the dirt. He wasn't even sure what he was doing here, and he'd already caused one of the inhabitants enough trouble. One who didn't seem to deserve it. He took another step, and stood before the angel, relaxing his shoulders. "...I did not mean to have caused too much harm." He extended his left hand, palm upwards, to the fallen angel. This was't his war. [/sub] Notes: 956 words.... FAILURE.

Theme; Izayoi (Instrumental) – Onoken He probably should have felt some sort of triumph in catching the other by surprise. He should have felt some positive emotion when the Lao soldier yelled, or when he saw the bullet graze his cheek. But he didn't, he simply felt sick. Sick and tired, really. The appearance of blue blood didn't seem to help, stomach clenching as his face went pale. Holy shit, had he done that?
Vince gulped, grimacing at the bitter taste of bile as he watched the armour shift and distort, becoming larger, stronger, more formiddable. But he didn't move, didn't retreat despite the natural instinct of self preservation. He was way too tired for that now, barely able to hold himself up, let along get up and run. So he crouched there, on his hands and knees like some pathetic animal, usually bright blue eyes staring blearily at his opponent.
He couldn't fight something like this. Not even as a demon.
”Modu ka." Damn it. Vince wheezed, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists in the dirt, shaking his head ever so slightly. ”Modu ka ay gitt." Damn it to hell. He added, his heart making a dull thud against his rib cage as Axis stepped closer. He was dead now, wasn't he? That Lao was going to kill him. Again.
But what was he saying? That Lao? He was Lao, too.
He'd been one of the most powerful, influential people in the Lao army. He'd seen the sort of treatment they served out, to both their own people and the demons alike. That was why he'd walked out on them, walked out on his only chance to get back home, and made the trip to Zukai to give his loyalty.
And he'd died for it. Vince growled, a low, trembling noise from deep in his chest as the Lao soldier got closer. He'd died and become one of them, a demon. The very people he'd seen tortured and killed like animals. And now the same damn thing was going to happen to him, again.
Maybe that was just how this world worked. Maybe he just wasn't meant to live and help the Zukai after all.
Well, you couldn't say he didn't try.
Vince sighed, closing his eyes as he felt the shadow of his opponent falling over him. Well, this was it. He was done for now, dead and gone, killed by the very people he'd originally fought for.
"...I did not mean to have caused too much harm."
...Wait...
”..WHAAAAAT?!" Vince yowled, eyes snapping wide and jaw dropping as he stared up at the other fighter. He blinked once or twice, opening and closing his mouth as if he couldn't find the words, before an unintelligble babble sputtered it's way from his lips not a moment later. ”Butbutthefightinga-andthealmostk-killingmeand..andy-you...ugh.." The angel stammered, at first yelling, before his tone softened to a weak drawl and he swayed on the spot.
And then he face-planted in the dirt, wings twitching once before he let out a pained, confused groan and fell still.
Well, that went well.

" ..WHAAAAAT?!" The boy's head snapped up, and Axis blinked as he looked up at him, mouth open wide in surprise. He seemed to be trying to speak, and Axis stood still as the boy yelled another string of words at him, which slowed to a mumble. Butbutthefightinga-andthealmostk-killingmeand..andy-you...ugh.." His body began to sway, and Axis tried to catch him as he finally toppled over on his face, his wings twitching. He groaned, and then stopped moving. "Oh, great... Axis thought, bending down on his knee to the angel and attempting to roll him onto his back, which proved somewhat difficult, with the boys wings in the way. Finally, resting him on his damp, dirty feathers, Axis reached a hand to the boy's neck and felt for a pulse. He was alive. And breathing. But his eyes were closed. Axis pushed at his shoulders, but the boy didn't rouse. He looked around quickly, at the high walls of the dam, and the wet, dirty ground they rested on. Remembering the angel's first appearance, Axis called his helmet back, and looked over at The side of the dam the angel boy had come from, zooming in on the area. There sat a small dog... Human.... "What the...?" He increased the zoom level. It was indeed a dog. Human. Thing. He tapped the side of his helmet twice. He'd seen stranger things. He looked at the boy. With his wings, the angel would have been larger than Axis. Were it not for the enormous amount of armour he was wearing. He thought about trying to return the angel to the animal boy, but flight would be awkward. He thought it better to simply try and rouse the boy again, pushing his shoulder. He may as well have been poking him, for all the good it did. He looked at the dam water, and then back at the boy. "... Well, I suppose it wouldn't be fair not to give him warning..." He thought. He walked to the dam shore and dipped his now fully gloved hand into the black, frigid mess, a small filter in his gauntlet absorbing a small amount of the water. Hopefully enough to stir the angel. He walked back over to the sleeping boy, and pushed his shoulder again, still getting no response. "Alright... Wake up. Now." He said, sending a spray of the freezing water onto the boy's face. [/sub] Note: Sorry it's so crap. DX

While Claw, born and raised by the most territorial pricks of hell one could imagine, would usually maim anyone daring enough to interrupt her fight, she only blinked and snorted as she entered the fray. She didn't like someone taking her fun at all, but when she looked down, eyes a pale yellow with the pin-needle pupils, and saw the stranger with the guns, she ceased the furious snarl that began in her throat. She blinked, and as her eyes faded back to their usual emerald, she flew backward and grunted. The white haired angel taking over for her was just... peculiar. That, and maybe his guns could do her dirty work. He peels the shell, she gets the soft, fleshy inside.
So the demon crossed her arms, a calm expression plastered on her face in place of the earlier anger. Her gauntlets turned black and seemingly melted into a bladed form, the side that sliced jagged and sharp like needlish teeth. The eye that all of her weapons had blazed as it watched with it's owner curiously. But as the fight moved, Claw was frowning again, eyes flickering judgmentally over Axis and Vince. "I gave him this one because I thought he'd become useful... However," she murmured as she watch them end their fight, the armored boy offering his hand to Vince, and the angel's reaction. She sighed.
Garbage! He is garbage and we should kill them both! Can I kill them both?
Repentance... The brown-red of her hair moved into Claw's eyes as she gazed at her blade. She gritted her teeth and snorted, "Momo. Take us down." She held the blade to her side as she folded her body and glided down to the damp earth. As she landed, she turned to Axis with a bitter look on her face, and spat at his feet. "In my homeland, showing mercy makes you an outcast. You will be turned on by all you know, and you're lucky enough if they spare your life," she stated, her lips curling into a tight frown. "Get your men and leave at once, or I'll show you the real strength of my home. Even your pretty shell there might not make it." She stalked forward with a cold look in her eyes, dragging Repentance behind her lazily.
Her boots made a shuck noise as she trudged through the mud, right at the white haired angel. She stopped when the front of the black, leather-like footwear were inches away from his face, resisting the urge to kick and stomp. "The next time you dare to steal my game and fail take care of it properly will be your last," she said in a hiss, fingers curled around her blade's hilt. "I don't know where you come from or why you came at all, but I do expect you to make up for this." With a quick glance at Axis, she bent over and pulled Vince up with ease, slinging his body over her shoulder. Awake or not, he was coming with her. "He's under the fist of Zukai now," she declared, just so it was clear to the Lao boy who tried waking him up. "So he won't be needing your company any longer."
She moved away, toward their 'leader' and the boy with him. Her eyes settled on Lutec, "Status report, underling. How's his soggy ass doing?" she questioned, her voice rolling out like rocks.
She had a lot to think about. Claw needed to leave, and soon.

ooc// Oh lord what this is I don't even... In short- Claw is frustrated and really hates Axis' armor. Likesrs.

"In my homeland, showing mercy makes you an outcast. You will be turned on by all you know, and you're lucky enough if they spare your life," Axis stared at the demon girl. "Well, so much for polite.." He thought. "Get your men and leave at once, or I'll show you the real strength of my home. Even your pretty shell there might not make it." she said, her voice so cold he almost felt it as she walked towards him, still holding her large scythe, which stared at him eerily. Axis felt a small urge to reach for his sword as he stood up, his cape swaying slightly. He stopped himself. He didn't want to cause more harm, so instead he watched as she bent down to the angel boy, pulling her face close to his, and growled angrily at him. Axis was about to speak when she looked up at him quickly, before effortlessly pulling his body up and supporting it with her shoulder. "He's under the fist of Zukai now, so he won't be needing your company any longer." She said, with as much hostility as ever, before walking off in the direction of the animal boy he had spotted earlier. "Zukai..?" He had seen the name when he had been searching for information on his opponents, but he hadn't thought it important. He looked up at the girl as she continued to walk away, and began to walk after her.
"Wait a moment." He said. He wasn't leaving just yet. Ooc/: Sorry it's so damn awful! DX

As she stared down at her room mate, wondering bitterly why he had to pass out and leave her as the only higher-up to deal with the current situation, she heard the Lao kid's voice as he told her to wait. Her annoyance rose again, but she sighed and chose to take it calmly, letting her thoughts carry her violent wishes instead, through the form of brutal mental images and bitter inner-ramblings. She just hoped that stupid Aiden came to soon, or at least before the mission was reported. She didn't want to be the only one reporting the ruckus of today. That meant questioning the others in their group for their own stories, as she'd been wrapped up in her own. She wasn't the fucking overseer, now was she?
Claw paused for a moment, turning slightly so she could get a look at the tin man who had earned her complete dislike so easily with squinting eyes. Her lips twitched a bit as she debated over gracing him with a response, but she ultimately decided that, since she would be sure she'd leave soon enough, she might as well see what else the kid had to say. "What is it?" the question came out in a cold voice as she hoisted the other body down, lacking the gentle care she could have given it. She let her now-free arm cross into the other after sticking Repentance's tip into the earth, ignoring his hiss of disapproval. The moist air swirled, causing a cascade of red-brown hairs to below around her face, casting shadows around her eyes and causing her hostile eyes to glow. It can't get any better than this.

Axis stopped a few metres away from the girl, his heavy cape tugging at his shoulders as air blew past his shoulders, pushing the succubi's hair off her shoulders, her face darkening. Axis could see her eyes glowing fiercly, as if a window to her inner anger and spite. He held her gaze with a passive look of purpose, but felt his own eyes take on a slight gleam of impatience. He felt a faint ripple of hostility for this girl, who seemed intent on hating him, and being as difficult as possible. But as quickly as he felt it, he forced it to pass, instead straightening himself up and attempting to look indiferent. He would need to speak to the boy, if briefly, or at least someone who could give him a slight understanding of where he was. Someone who was willing to help. He closed his eyes and then opened them, sighing inwardly." This is going to be more difficult than I thought...". He met the girl's gaze again. "You seem to misunderstand. I am not here of my own accord." He said. " I was forced into fighting. Against my will..." He tried to hide his surge of anger at this thought, shutting his eyes and tighting his left hand into a fist, where there was a miniscule wave of energy. He looked back at the girl, remaining otherwise composed. " You say that he's not with you." He nodded towards the white haired boy on the ground. " I wish to speak with him, when he wakes."
He stopped, not wanting to add that he was, effectively, lost, on a different world, with no idea how he got there, no idea of how to get home, and no idea where the thing that he'd brought with him, that no doubt was relentlessly hunting him down already, was. "How do I ever find myself in situations like this?" [/sub]

He almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. Almost. The puppy sat there in awe, and simply watched the entire battle happen before his pale eyes. A small part of him itched to get involved, but within what seemed like moments, Vince was on the floor. That guy with the armour seemed incredibly strong, even after being blasted by what he could only describe as pure light, and it made his heart sink a little to realise that just about nothing could get past it.
At least, that was until the guy simply walked over to an exhausted Vince and said he didn't mean to cause any harm. At this point, the young demon found he could still laugh. The shock in the Angel's voice just cracked him, and despite the stinking, decrepit debris surrounding them, his near-cackle filled the small crevice he and Aiden were hiding in. After a few moments, Lutec realised what he was doing and promptly stopped, turning a tad red in the cheeks and praying that, of all people, Claw hadn't heard him. The girl scared the freaking shit out of him. By the time his eyes actually started paying attention again, Satan reincarnate Claw had thrown Vince over her shoulder and, he guessed, had gone to leave. He also became painfully aware that she had spoken to him, and he hadn't answered yet. Although as he was about to, the walking armour spoke instead. Simply shutting his mouth again, Lutec looked around and tried to find something he could do to be useful.
Well... There was Aiden.
Grimacing, Lutec crouched down beside the unconscious 'leader' of theirs and proceeded to prod his side. Three prods were followed by a rough shake, but still nothing. He stood and sighed, thinking. A small grin curled its way onto his face as an idea formed in his head. After a quick glance out to Claw and Mister-Super-Armour, the grey-tailed demon sent a sharp kick at the heap on the floor. Although it felt incredibly good, Lutec still couldn't determine any signs of real life. Well, conscious or not, he'd have to be taken back to HQ. Which meant transport. Claw was already busy with Vince, and the demon doubted that Axis would be heading their way.
"Awww crap. I better get a cookie for this."
His previous battle with Aiden's weight told him this wasn't going to be easy. And although Lutec would have loved to see the Incubus' skin shredded into ribbons, dragging him along by his ankles probably wasn't the best option. So instead, he opted to take a leaf out of Claw's book, with a little adaptation. Lutec stretched his arms out and braced himself, before attempting to scoop the other demon up and drape him over his back. It was agonising to say the least, since he was sure Aiden weighed twice what he did, but at least this way Lutec could hold him above the ground.
Now all he had to pray for was Aiden staying unconscious. Because if he woke up while being carried, this wasn't going to turn out very well.

The chill of cold water stirred him to awareness - not enough for him to open his eyes or make any sort of movement, but just enough for him to be aware of what was going on around him, of the words being spoken to him. He probably looked like a mess; Hair lying slick against his head, a dull, sick grey with the colour of the water. His mouth made a small 'D', blood trickling from his lips to join that of the many wounds along his body, making a small pool of red beneath him. Vince looked small, fragile, probably just a little pathetic I suppose. But what else can you expect from someone who just got themselves totally screwed over, right?
His face twitched ever so slightly as he noticed the presence of another, standing almost painfully close to his head - well shit, was he about to get kicked in the face or something?
"I don't know where you come from or why you came at all, but I do expect you to make up for this."
Oh great. Just fan-fucking-tastic.
Vince was minutely aware that, by now, he was in the air, being slung over someone's shoulder - the girl demon's, he supposed, considering it was her voice he'd just heard. "He's under the fist of Zukai now,"
A small smile cracked his lips at this news - finally he was getting somewhere with this army. He might get a chance to help them out before they skinned him alive. Yay. His good mood was short lived, however, as the woman promptly dropped him once they reached the alcove. ”Sonnofyourmother..." He groaned, scrunching his eyes shut before relaxing again, taking in the words around him while he lay there in darkness.
" I was forced into fighting. Against my will...You say that he's not with you. I wish to speak with him, when he wakes."
Oh, because that would look great on his already bad reputation - The Lao wanted to talk to him. Awesome. Hope he didn't know Vince was a Lao Captain, or he'd be gone for sure.
When Axis and Claw lapsed into silence Vince took the time to breathe deeply and slowly open an eye, looking blearily up at the blurred figures around him. One of them was the kid from before, Loo-something - he couldn't really remember now. The next person he noticed was the Incubus he'd rescued from Aries, taking a moment to look him over - under all the blood and bruises something about him seemed...familiar. Like some half-remembered image in a dream. Eh, he'd figure it out later.
He closed his eyes again as Lutec hoisted Aiden up, hearing something distinctly about cookies - he'd have to find him and give him one later, if he got a chance. But, for the moment he had more pressing matters to attend to;
Like why that suit-wearing dude wanted to talk to him.
”What is it?" He croaked, turning slightly-open eyes to glare over at him, the look almost accusing if it weren't for the stupid grin on his face. ”Can't you see Mm'trying to sleep here?" [/blockquote]

"What is it?" Axis blinked at the sound of the angel's voice, his eyes shifting to the grinning face, while the rest of him
confronted the imposing figure of the demon girl. "Can't you see Mm'trying to sleep here?" The boy continued. Axis glanced back at the demon girl, who simply stared menacingly at him. Seeing no move to stop him, he took a
step closer to the boy, who glared up at him also, his eyes contradicting the rest of his facial expression. He
bent onto his knee next to the angel, careful to avoid the muddy white plumage beneath him. He glanced to his
right quickly, still wary of the hostile figure behind him, before looking back to the boy."It's
worth an attempt..." He thought. He hated speaking in general. Especially because sometimes it was his only solution. He sighed. "... I do not understand. You fought for them, and yet you are not part of their forces." He began, hesitant to ask help from the boy. Though he felt a minute combination of guilt and sympathy for the weak looking form before him. Which for Axis, was a lot. Suddenly, he remembered why he had been forced to attack the boy in the first place, and had to stop a sudden wave of fury and sadness. Forcing out words with a hint of anger. His eyes locked onto the angel, but he made sure his voice could be heard by the demon girl behind him. "I do not belong here. I was forced into
fighting after these... Lao, captured my only friend." He lowered his voice slightly, as if merely asking the boy a question. "... I don't know how I arrived here. But... I have need of
help." he said finally. He felt almost foolish to be asking he boy for anything at all, but he knew that at this point, he would get nowhere alone. though he still hated having talk so much. [/sub]

Claw was livid. She stared at Axis with complete disapproval and crossed her arms over her chest, speaking coldly, "Forced, eh? You know, I once stayed a while in the human world before, and they had this pretty little saying about forcing things. You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make 'em drink, or something." Her hostile yellow gazed slithered over his armor again hatefully, then met his gaze once more. "Today you had a choice, and you chose to fight against us, from what I gather, out of fear?" she questioned. No, she wasn't sure, but it's what he made it out to be to her, and if it was otherwise, she didn't feel that he had the right to be pissed at her for it- he never got into detail (though she honestly didn't care much for it). "Honestly, if I weren't so fucking tired right now, I wouldn't let you near him, but since I am, and I'm letting you, I expect you to make it quick," she stated, going into silence and turning away. Just in time, apparently. Sleeping beauty awoke from the dead.
She tromped over to Lutec and looked at him, raising a brow and suddenly feeling a lot less stressed. "Know what? Even if you're a new kid, you're the only one who hasn't pissed the shit out of me. Good work," she said, her voice less harsh more and more even as she sighed, hoisting her blade onto her shoulder. She turned on her heel and sat in the damp land, talking to the boy casually, "'N hey, since they're chit-chattering away, you can let him down again. If he doesn't wake by the time we leave, we can leave him or have Momo carry him." she explained, referring to the unconscious Aiden that Lutec had taken the liberty of carrying. She grinned dryly- something that could have been sincere if she weren't so irritated. She was just glad that she wasn't talking to someone whose head she wanted to rip off.

Axis double tapped his helmet and it pulled back from his face and folded away into his armour. Hearing the girl behind him start to speak, Axis gaze shifted to his left. "Forced, eh? You know, I once stayed a while in the human world before, and they had this pretty little saying about forcing things. You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make 'em drink, or something.". Despite never having heard such a rediculous phrase before, the tone in her voice made Axis eyes glaze over as he momentarily forgot his request from the boy in front of him. "What is that supposed to mean, sehtlii'a*?" He thought, almost glaring at her from the corner of his eye. She was staring at him, her eyes passing over the dark blue of his armour, and he felt a small ripple of energy escape from his chest and flicker around his arm. She continued: "Today you had a choice, and you chose to fight against us, from what I gather, out of fear?"Axis didn't speak, closing his eyes as he stood, very slowly, wet debris and mud simply sliding off the bottom of his heavy cloak. He tried to hide the way his hands shook slightly as he clenched them into fists behind his cape. "Honestly, if I weren't so fucking tired right now, I wouldn't let you near him, but since I am, and I'm letting you, I expect you to make it quick."Axis iris seemed ringed with a blue glow as he opened his eyes again, the anger in his chest pulsing through his body. The girl turned away from him with an air of smug superiority, and Axis took a step away from the boy below him, his eyes locked onto the girl. Holding out his hand, he concentrated some energy into it. He opened it, and a small, round object sat in his palm, a small point protruding from one side, a button on the other, and the Summit symbol emblazoned on the center. Despite the small amount energy used to create the physical object, he barely felt the loss. He leant back down towards the boy and dropped it into one of his open palms. "... I must leave now. If you ant to contact me, use this." he said, sounding unconvinced at his own suggestion. disheartened but still quietly enraged, he walked after the girl who now sat in the dirt. With a great deal of effort, he managed to bury his anger slightly. He glared at her, the slight gleam in his eye now faded, and he felt his shoulder pads compact and his cloak disappear, his armour level decreasing. "It is not fear that forced me, booru lii'a. You call it love." He said to her, his voice now indifferent. "Which evidently, you know nothing of." He finished, as he turned and walked away. His helmet shifted back into place around his head as he activated his thrusters and roared into the sky, briefly glancing back towards the group below him before he dashed into the continent-wide city's dark clouds. " And I hope that if ever you do, you treasure it greatly." [/sub] Ooc/: Notes: *Sehtlii'a = "Free-girl" **Booru lii'a = "Dark girl." (Axis has a habit of slipping into his language accidentally, usually when he's particulalry upset or angry, as he thinks/dreams in this language, etc. "dark-girl" refers to the fact that she is a demon. And although he doesn't like or often use the term, free-girl could... refer to the fact that Claw is not restrained in anyway. ..... But it doesn't. ) ..... ( He thinks she's a slut. Possibly a cheap one.) Again, I'm sorry it fails so much.... >_>
