APPEARANCE


Standing at 5'7'', he's not the tallest guy around, but he isn't anywhere close to short either. He has shoulder length grey hair that's a bit of a hassle to tame(especially in the morning). His eyes are a pretty night-blue as opposed to the usual sky-blue that he's seen. His skin tone is pretty neutral; not too pale and not too tan, just the way he prefers it. There are hints of scarring on his face, which can be seen with the lighter bits of skin on his left cheek and the left side of his neck.

Clothing-wise, he prefers things that are casual and comfortable. His default outfit consists of a black t-shirt with a pair of dark jeans and
black shoes, usually topped off with his custom made black hoodie that has the Zukai symbol on the back of his left sleeve. His hoodie is, practically, no different than any other hoodie, aside from its sleeves.

Where there would be just a hole for his hand to go through, it is now replaced with five smaller holes at the end; one for each finger and thumb. He had this hoodie made this way so that whenever he conjured up his weapons made of ice, he didn't end up getting frostbite in the process(not that he has to worry about frostbite. He's a fast healer and something like that wouldn't be able to take a limb from him. However, when the feeling comes back into his hands, they hurt like hell, so he had his hoodie made this way to keep that from happening as much)

He usually carries around his own personal knife for whenever he can't make his own weapons. Other than that, he's practically weaponless.

PERSONALITY
He's pretty stubborn and is untrusting of most people. Chances are, he won't attempt to approach anyone. He'd much rather do things on his own, but will work with others if given a direct command. He minds his own business and hopes that others understand that he doesn't want to be bothered by their existance in any way.

However, as untrusting as he may be, he does genuinely care about his allies and usually keeps a close eye out for them whenever they're in a fight. There are times when he becomes louder and more sarcastic than usual, but that usually only happens when he's been pissed off or if he's just having a bad day. But even when he isn't having a bad day, he's still prone to the occassional sarcasm and isn't afraid to give your the harsh truth.

He refuses to share any information retaining to his personal life or his life before he joined the Zukai. Heck, chances are he won't even tell you what he had for lunch today and where he got it. The only thing that he has actually revealed to the public is his "age". However, many believe that he's not being honest about it, and it just so happens that those people are right.

Ah, but what is his actual age? It's just another one of the many secrets he refuses to tell...

He has a pretty sensitive nose, so he dislikes things and places(and people!) that have a strong/bad odor, and he will do everything in his power to avoid missions that involve going to those kinds of places/hanging with those kind of people.

HISTORY
Before the Lao showed up, Dareus was generally a much happier and social person. His parents were no where in sight, but he always made sure that he stuck close to his younger sister whenever possible. However, as protective as he was, he did respect her personal space and didn't mess around with her personal life.

When the Lao first showed up, he didn't really think much of them, but as time passed and they began becoming more hostile he started avoiding them whenever possible. Things got so bad that he had to break his promise to his sister about giving her more space and stick around her more often. She didn't mind too much, since she was well aware of what was going on, but she still occasionally slipped out of his sights whenever she had the chance.

One day, however, she didn't immediately come back after one of her little getaways. Noticing this, Dareus hurried out into the city to find out just where this crazy girl had managed to end up. Luckily, she was still in tact when he found her. She had simply got caught back by something. For a bit, he thought that maybe everything would be alright and he'd be able to just get back home and not have to worry about that happening again.

...he thought wrong. Shortly after their little reunion, they were ambushed by a trio of Lao soldiers that had spotted them while passing by and had decided to have a bit of "fun" with their new victims. The Lao soldiers snuck behind the two and quickly made their move.

The both of them got roughed up pretty badly, but they managed to get away from the soldiers before things got way out of hand. Dareus managed to get away with just a couple of cuts on the left side of his face and neck and some of his arm, since he wasn't as close to the soldiers as his sister. However, his sister wasn't so lucky. Since she was closer, she was a much easier target and the soldiers took advantage of that. Along with multiple cuts, she managed to get stabbed twice: in the chest and in the stomach. Dareus tried to help her out to the best of his abilities, since they were nowhere close to any medical help, but the inevitable happened soon enough.

Crushed and angered by the fact that his only living family member's life was literally snatched out of his grasp, he made it his personal goal to get rid of the Lao in any way possible. With a strengthened resolve and a new(although negative) look on life, he joined the Zukanian army to help get rid of the Lao issue.

ABILITIES

As an ice elemental, he can make and manipulate it as he wishes. His ice weapons range from things as small as knives to long rods and scythes. He's had plenty of practice and can form his weapons quickly, however he can't use these weapons of his for too long due to the fact that they'll cause his hands to numb out. His hoodie helps prevent it from happening as quickly, but it's still an issue that he hasn't found a solution for quite yet. Obviously, he can't make his ice weapons if it's too hot out or if he's low on energy, which is why he carries around a knife.
