CAEL-305471Castor Elfirenze
AGE
19 GENDER Male
SPECIES Incubus
ALLEGIANCE Zukai
RANK Scout-Reaper
APPEARANCE The guy with black hair Like any other of his species, he possesses very good looks, seemingly perfect in every which way. He had a thin but well-muscled frame, flexible and strong, a rather athletic build. His skin is light in color, almost pale. His unblemished features are smooth, like marble. Cael's face is chiseled, with a somewhat pointed chin. His eyes are a dark shade of warm gray, with an almost unnoticeable touch of violet. His hair is very much the same color, though it is closer to black. It sticks up in several places at the back and side of his head, with bangs that go down his eyes in the center, and side bangs that hang down to his mouth, as though in a sort of frame. Just a few inches above the man's ears a pair of purplish black horns curve upwards, somewhat twisted and tapering to a sharp point. Smooth and elegant, these could probably impale someone.
He always wears a black jacket, made of a sturdy yet soft material, which also has a white fur collar. The sleeves seem just a tad too long, as it reaches the center of his palm, where his thumb is connected to the rest of his hand. He always leaves his jacket to hang open. Under this he wears a grayish white shirt. It has a low collar, revealing half of his chest. Two vertical slits are on the back of his jacket and shirt. It is from these that his wings protrude, dark, leathery, and bat-like. They are about 15-feet across when fully extended, but when he tucks them in, they wouldn't even be seen from the front, hidden by the rest of his body. His pants, made from the same fabric as his jacket, hangs loosely on his slim frame, baggy and comfortable. An arrow-tipped tail, resembling a generic devil's, hangs down, usually not noticeable against his dark colored apparel. Cael also wears a pair of black gloves, which fit snugly. Zukai's number(305471) is tattooed to the right of his forehead, hidden usually by his hair. The small orb that also bears it hangs on a string around his neck.
PERSONALITY Cael is probably, quite literally, the most straight forward person you'll meet. He is quite blunt, utterly frank, and brutally honest. Lying is one of the last things you'll ever catch him doing--not because he's amazingly good at it, but because he just doesn't lie. Not even the smallest, most trivial fib. In a way, this is both good and bad. Good being that you can count on what he says--but that's if you know him well enough, or long enough, to know that he never lies. On the other hand, he rarely decides to sugar coat things to make them hurt less, even when they probably should be sugar-coated. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, especially when he's angry. Just don't expect him to give many compliments, unless he decides they are well-deserved. Luckily, he won't give away secrets willy-nilly either, and will instead retreat into a cool silence.
Cael is also pretty playful, even mischievous. He does have a sense of humor. Even with his honesty streak, he still tends to joke around, often using sarcasm both for fun and to offend. His face will usually be seen with a rather crooked grin on it, bordering a sort of smirk, even in the most serious of situations. A bit of a prankster. Not only that, but Cael is, at the same time, a reserved person. His feelings and thoughts are usually hidden behind dark eyes, which, when not glinting with amusement, are blank and unreadable. He often uses logic to reason, and as a result, thinks things through before doing it. While he is the exact opposite of impulsive and brash, Cael is willing to take risks, to leave things to chance. When he doesn't know what to do, he simply goes with the flow until he sees an opportunity. He is persevering, and doesn't give up after just one failed attempt.
When he does see a golden opportunity, he will more than likely give it his all and will try to have it work his way. In a fight, he will not hold back no matter what the opponent. With his fitness and strength, he makes a dangerous opponent, for he is also a natural fighter. He doesn't always rely on the special skills he was granted by nature because of his adeptness at unarmed combat--martial arts. His own life comes first in a fight, and will not hesitate to end another if that is what it takes. Under all of this, Cael harbors a deep-seated hatred against Lao, even if one of the members had once been a comrade. To be with them makes them an automatic enemy. HISTORY Castor Elfirenze had been the second-born son in a family of four--one father, one mother, and a brother who was 5-years older than himself. The war was already raging between the Lao--or, as the family called them, 'invaders'--but they remained apart from it, preferring to remain neutral and to stay out of the battles. All the same, Castor's parents were careful to pass on everything they knew to their kids. More importantly, battle skills. Looking after themselves. Basically everything someone would need to know if they were ever on their own--survival skills. Naturally, fighting was stressed because of their warring environment. Despite the many clashes between Zukai and Lao, and the news of so-and-so's death, their lives were pretty normal--as normal as life could get during an endless war.
They moved. They traveled. They trained. Life was pretty peaceful for them. One day, when Castor was 13, everything changed. Whether it was for the worse or for the better it is unclear, for not everything can automatically be labeled 'bad' or 'good'. Things weren't that simple. In any case, one day the Elfirenze's were caught in one of the battles between Zukai and Lao when passing through a village. They had no choice but to fight just to defend themselves, being in the middle of it all. Eventually, Lao had driven off the forces of Zukai. Many common bystanders and civilians had been caught in crossfire, too. The ones who hadn't already escaped were wounded. Among them were Castor's family. In cold-blood, Lao had killed them all, not even bothering to take them as prisoners, as a show of strength, and to say they would stop at nothing until the world belonged to them.
Before his very eyes, Castor had watched, restrained and helpless, while his parents and brother were killed. He had not been as injured as they, and had stayed only because of his reluctance to abandon his family. Seeing them take their last breaths at the hands of the Lao, anger, hatred, and grief fueled him as he somehow broke free and escaped. Shortly after, he was recruited by Zukai despite his young age, known only as Cael. Since then, he had been with them, seeking to rid of the Lao. ATTRIBUTES [Tiger Hook Sword & Shadow Manipulation] Being a rather gifted user of bending shadows and darkness to his own whim, he also has a pair of tiger hook blades, ebony black in color with white handles. When he's not using these weapons, the blade itself will not be present, since he forms it using darkness. As a result, he carries it around as merely a pair of "handles". By sending his power through it, the blade and hook parts are created. At night time, or in places where there is very little light, he can extend his blade using the surrounding shadows. However, this is not the only way he can execute his shadow manipulating abilities. Though it halves his power greatly, he can also summon a sort of clone of himself using his own shadow.
[Other Noteworthy Abilities] -Has skill in martial arts, and can enforce some dark power into his attacks. Can fight in both land and air. -Can fly for several hours without tiring, especially when there's a strong air current -Slightly stronger than the average human
